We’ve reached a key milestone in Maica’s Support at Home development! This update introduces budget sync automation and includes a video walkthrough of the process.

We have reached a Major Milestone in our road to completing the Support at Home features in Maica!

As we get deeper into this journey and ready for July 1st, our updates will get more technical and detailed so you can start to appreciate what our solution will look like.

In this update, we are sharing a video showing the Care Recipient sync process: Watch the Video

As part of this process, the Synchronise Budget Information function initiates a secure callout to the Support at Home APIs and retrieves all available Budget records for the Participant.

This includes detailed data across the following areas:

- Approved Services

- Service Classifications

- Individual Contributions

- Supplement Allocations

These components represent the full budget picture as defined in the source system.

Once the data is successfully retrieved, Maica automatically creates a Plan record for the Participant. The retrieved information is then mapped into structured related records within the Plan - ensuring the Participant's funding arrangement is accurately reflected and ready for use within Maica.

This sync capability helps streamline data entry, reduce manual effort, and improve alignment between the Aged Care Portal and Maica’s care coordination tools.

So, what’s the plan from here?

  1. We are aware of the current 1 July deadline and are aiming for a timely release prior to this date.
  2. Whilst our development is still constrained by the infrastructure and platform availability from Services Australia, we are making great progress towards the completion of our solution.
  3. We will keep sending updates on our progress to keep you as informed as possible and get you ready for this transition.

Thank you for your understanding and support. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
