A detailed look at Maica’s upcoming Support at Home integration, including budget sync, billing automation, and plans to meet the July 1 deadline.

We’re excited to share an update on our ongoing development  for the Support at Home program.

Our solution is currently under development and includes a full integration utilising the recently published Support At Home APIs.

Our solution is split into two key areas of functionality and is designed to sit seamlessly within our existing Maica application. Please see the sections below for a more detailed breakdown of each key area.

Feature 1: Participant Sync & Budget Configuration: Automatically sync care recipient information (including classification, supplements, and budgets) from Services Australia using the Care Recipient Summary API. This integration pulls in the Care Recipient's funding details, budgets and the specific services that the recipient is approved to receive into the system, leveraging existing Maica data objects and concepts, extended to cater for Support At Home specific data points.

Feature 2: Billing & Claiming Automation: Utilising the Invoice, Claim, Payment Item Reporting and Payment Statement APIs, we are developing an end-to-end claiming solution for Support At Home. Generate a Claim Batch, post Invoice and Invoice Line Items to Services Australia, submit and track the progress of your claim and retrieve payment information down to the individual line item level.  Maica will even automatically bill your clients for their determined contribution amounts once the claim has been processed.

So, what’s the plan from here?

  1. We are aware of the current 1 July deadline and are aiming for a timely release prior to this date.
  2. Our development is currently constrained by the infrastructure and platform availability from Services Australia, but we are working closely with them to progress.
  3. Assuming the technical platform is made available as expected, we remain confident in delivering Support at Home on time.
  4. A more detailed timeline will be shared within the next 4 weeks.

Thank you for your understanding and support. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
